With parents in the process of choosing which Primary School to sending their children to, one local primary school has to be close to the top of anybody’s list, particularly those in the South West of the county.

Ewyas Harold Primary School is classed as a school that is ‘strong, caring and a safe environment’ by Ofsted and what makes it even better is that the school is just a 15 minute drive from Hereford.

We recently highlighted how the school was leading the way with tackling mental health issues in young children.

Headteacher Laura Wallace had the following to say;

“Dear parents/carers,

Choosing the right school for your child is vitally important.

Most parents want a good education for their children but they also want them to be happy and to feel safe and secure.

One of the special things about Ewyas Harold Primary School is the warmth of the welcome here and the quality of relationships between pupils and staff.

Atmosphere is something that can never be encapsulated in a document or website and it is the warm welcome and purposeful atmosphere at Ewyas Harold Primary School that so often impresses visitors.

Developing personal confidence and the willingness to take on new experiences and challenges are among the core aims of our school. Exceptionally high standards and expectations of both education and behaviour ensure that every one of our pupils achieve.

Staff are committed to the personal development of pupils, encouraging them to achieve their goals and to grow into confident and accomplished young people.”
