West Mercia Police are appealing for information following a burglary at a supermarket this morning (Friday 19 April).

Police were alerted to the incident at the Co-op in Newport Street, Hay on Wye at 1.26am.

Officers arrived to find that entry had been forced to the shop. It is not known at this time what was taken.

Inspector Robin Davies said: “We are appealing for the public’s help with our investigation. I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident or saw anything suspicious in the area around the time of the incident to contact police.”
