Plans have been submitted to turn a section of the former Chadds units in Hereford into a mix of three retail units with residential space on the floors above.

The plans, submitted this week to Herefordshire Council would see the units redeveloped, with much needed structural improvements to take place due to the units being empty since Chadds closed ten years ago.

The plans would be another boost for the struggling street. Creams Cafe and a hairdressers have both recently taken units on the other side of the street to the planned development and work is currently underway to improve the street paving.
