The UB40 Experience bring the best of Reggae, Ska, 2-Tone and Rocksteady to The Courtyard Café Bar this week to raise money for charities Breast Cancer Haven and Transform The Yard, the Courtyard’s own in-house appeal.

The original line-up enjoyed huge success over a period of almost thirty years; including number ones, multiple top ten gold and platinum selling albums and Grammy nominations, four number ones worldwide and a total of seventy million plus sales.
Audiences will be transported back to the 80s for an evening of classic hits from the only UB40 tribute paying homage to all the original UB40 members. Featuring all the classic hits including Red Red WineCan’t Help Falling In Love and Kingston Town plus much more.

“Our host for the evening Olle Grove – regularly heard on Sunshine Radio – will ensure you are well looked after and entertained.” says Courtyard Commercial Manager Matt Coles, “Guests can visit the bar throughout the show and will be served canapés throughout the evening.”

As well as enjoying table service of a selection of canapés from the Courtyard kitchen, customers will be supporting two fantastic charities: Breast Cancer Haven support anyone affected by breast cancer offering expertise from counsellors, therapists and health professionals. They also provide information about classes and workshops to improve wellbeing from their welcoming centres across the UK.

Transform The Yard is a project that will set the stage for the future of The Courtyard. Being at the heart of the community means The Courtyard can use arts, culture and entertainment to improve health, wellbeing and social isolation across the county. The Transform The Yard development pledges to enable The Courtyard’s ever increasing learning and participation work to flourish further and allow them to continue to bring the community together in a space that is welcoming and accessible to all.
