Matt Hudd Martial Arts CIC have recently opened a new dedicated centre for the practice of Chinese Martial Arts in Hereford.
Matt started his first class in 2006 teaching once a week in Ledbury as a sole trader. Since then he has gone on to grow his business and to form a Community Interest Company.
Community Interest Companies are non-profit Social Enterprises organisations where all surplus profits made go back into the community.
The team at Matt Hudd Martial Arts aim to help individuals and groups within the community build self-confidence, self-respect, compassion, focusing on mental wellbeing through the practice and enjoyment of Chinese Martial Arts and Mindfulness Meditation. They have a dedicated team of coaches trained through the Matt Hudd Martial Arts Instructor Development Team all trained with recognised qualifications.
They provide classes in Kung Fu, Tai Chi and Chinese Kickboxing for children as young as 3 years old through to adults of all ages. You will also find classes in self-defence, coaching, team leadership workshops and ladies only.
The aim of the school is to benefit the community through promoting health and wellbeing, educating them to take responsibility for themselves through empowering individuals to make better lifestyle choices. Students are encouraged to grow physically, emotionally and spiritually and by starting at an early age, it is Matt’s vision that the community of Hereford can have the resources and tools to cope with the more challenging aspects of life as they grow older.
